

Carole I. “Murph” Walden, age 83, of Rochester Hills, died July 3, 2022. Carole was born on July 8, 1938 in Highland Park, MI, daughter of the late John and Hazel Murphy. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1956 and attended Highland Park Community College. On May 2, 1958, Carole married Thomas Walden at the Highland Park Methodist Church. Carole and Tom moved to Rochester in 1973 where they have lived ever since. She was employed for many years at R.G.I.S. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and Great Oaks Country Club. Carole was an active volunteer in the Rochester community working with the Assistance League of S.E. Michigan, the American Cancer Society, Rochester Veteran’s Breakfast and “Rally for the Cure” which she organized for Great Oaks. A multiple year nominee for “Mom of the year”, Carole most loved being a wife, Mom, Grammy and Nannie to her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thomas; daughters Sheryl (Stephen) Albert and Stacy (Daniel) Eberhardt; grandchildren Ryan Albert, Kaitlyn and Kamryn Eberhardt. Also survived by dear cousin Joan Fernane and many close friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Road, Rochester. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at Great Oaks Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
