Diane met her loving husband Delbert (deceased) at church and knew when she saw his blue eyes across the room that he was the one, their love and devotion spanned 56 years. Diane was passionate about her love for Delbert and extended that same love to her children. Her greatest achievements, her 3 children: Patty Swauger (Jeff), Scott Foster (Rhonda) and Amy Schodowski (John). Her 8 grandchildren, who she was so proud of: Morgan, Hayden, Kyle, Wade, Corinn, Keenan, Kayla, and Cody and 10 great grandchildren who brightened her world: Nevaeh, Landen, Lailah, Belle, Roman, Evelyn, Maxwell, Gryffin, Evelyn Grace, and Lily.
Diane had one sibling, Pat Kirby, who she simply adored; her face would light up as soon as he walked into the room and you could feel her peace and happiness because of it.
Diane, a woman of genuine faith, always giving a clear testament with her walk in life, of what grace was. Diane was a warrior for the Lord and by the posture of her heart, she always shared the warmth of our savior Jesus Christ. Diane was faithful in her walk of service in doing the Lords work at Roseville Church of Christ, Rochester Church of Christ, and when she retired and moved to Tennessee, she was diligent in her walk at the Church of Christ in the Glade in Fairfield Glade, TN. Her most recent walk of service was with Metro Church of Christ in Sterling Heights, MI.
Visitation will be on Friday April 17, 2026 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at noon at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester HIills, Michigan.
