Chester Land

Chester Dean Land, of Oakland, Michigan, passed away on April 12, 2023 at the age of 88. He was born in Keokuk, Iowa on March 25, 1935. Chester married his beloved wife, Diana A. (Beutler) Land, on December 31, 1958. He had a career in automotive for ITT Higgbe in Rochester, MI. Chester was a faithful man who was proud to attend First Baptist Church of Rochester. He had a passion for his family, his church, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife Diana; children Linda (Tom) Seibert, Chester Dean Land II, and Donna Land; grandchildren Steven Land, Erik Tomko, Joseph Land, Becky Peterson, Anna (Sanjog) Gopal, and Jared (Patty) Tomko; great grandchildren Lauren Wright, Hayden Peterson, Lily Peterson, Penny Gopal, Eli Tomko, Eamon Gopal, Nora Tomko, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and May Land, and his ten brother and sisters.

A visitation for Chester will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307. His funeral will be held the next day Saturday, April 22, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Rochester, 6377 Orion Rd, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48306.
