Christopher George Nestro, age 50, of Shelby Township Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 5, 2020. Chris was born the son of Anthony and Anna (Mangieri) Nestro in Mt. Vernon, New York on January 27, 1970. Chris played baseball at Rochester Adams High School and graduated in 1988. He earned his bachelor's degree from Oakland University. He was a baseball purest and an avid Yankees fan. He loved to read about history, sports and especially true crime, and was a frequent user of the Rochester Public Library. His insights and perspective always made for great conversation. Chris loved family and was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. He had a great sense of humor and his laugh will always be remembered. We will miss him dearly. Chris is survived by his parents Anthony and Anna (Mangieri) Nestro; siblings Anthony (Cheryl) Nestro; Paul (Kirsten) Nestro; James (Leslie) Nestro and his nephew Nicholas and nieces Olivia (Godchild) and Chloe. A funeral mass will be held on Friday July 10th at 1pm (Instate 12:30pm) at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, located at 771 Old Perch Road in Rochester Hills.
