He was born on July 22, 1932, in Wisconsin, to Stanley and Hedwig Kengerski. David was a talented carpenter by trade and a true creator and builder. He had a natural gift for working with his hands and took great pride in everything he built. His craftsmanship, creativity, and dedication were reflected in the many things he created throughout his life.
An avid outdoorsman, David loved being outside and spending time in nature. He especially enjoyed hunting, and salmon fishing. He also had a passion for collecting guns and enjoyed cars. More than anything, David was known as a lifetime friend and a loyal person who valued the people around him and remained devoted to those he loved.
David is survived by his children, Deborah (Randy) Wrobel, Jeffrey Kengerski, Terry (Marlene) Kengerski, and Daniel Kengerski, and their mother, Bonnie Sherwood. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Wrobel, Adam Wrobel, Samantha (Evan) Everett, Brett (Miranda) Trotter, Tiffany (Robert) Williams, Kayla Wave (Alec Stvartak), Derek Kengerski, and Raven Kengerski; as well as nine great-grandchildren.
David is also survived by his stepchildren Vicki Devine and Mark (Kim) Rich; six step-grandchildren; and fourteen step-great-grandchildren.
David will also be lovingly remembered by his neighbors and friends, the Leahy family: Patrick, Maria, Drew, Isabelle, Hannah, Louis, and Theresa.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilma; his grandson, Kurtis; his siblings, Helen, Frances, Donald, Henry, and Dennis; and his stepdaughter Pam.
