Denise was born the daughter of William and Clara (Van Houtte) Harrison in Yale, Michigan on June 29th, 1954. She graduated from Osborn High School in Detroit, class of 1973. Denise met Leonard Blessing in 1994 and they married on April 19th, 2004 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Denise had a career in banking for Manufacturers Bank and later Comerica Bank.
Denise loved her family. Denise loved children and enjoyed hosting her daughter and friends growing up.
Denise is survived by her husband Leonard Blessing; daughter Danielle Blessing; siblings Dian Stallings, Nancy (Marty) Taylor, and William (Sarah Hammersley) Harrison; nieces Janyne (Sean) Carroll and Christina (Abdul Bakar) Taylor; and nephews Nick (Mai) Harrison and Bryan (Katryn) Taylor. Denise was predeceased by her parents; and sister Sandra Harrison.
Denise’s family will welcome all to visitation on Monday August 19th, 2024 from 4-8pm and on Tuesday August 20th, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Interment will follow at Van Hoosen Jones Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
