

He was born on August 5, 1960, in Jenkins, Kentucky, to his loving parents, Billie Holcomb, Jr. and Minerva Holcomb, and he grew up in Hazel Park, Michigan.
Dennis will be deeply missed by his wife, Erin Holcomb; his children, Em (Rochelle) Holcomb and Grace Holcomb; his dear aunt, Christine Osborne; beloved cousin, Tera Holcomb, and many extended family members, including in-laws, cousins, and dear friends.
Dennis worked as a radio writer and producer for WMUZ Radio after graduating from Specs Howard School of Broadcasting. Before he worked in radio, Dennis worked as a licensed journeyman plumber. Dennis had many interests. He was an Eagle Scout, a soccer coach, a fisherman, a game enthusiast, and a fervent Detroit Lions fan.
His greatest passion was building and racing radio controlled cars. He competed, and sometimes won, at races across the state and made many great friends and memories. In addition to building and racing, he would announce RC car races and he helped coordinate the 1991 Off Road World Championship in Sterling Heights, Michigan, which attracted racers from all over the world.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307.
A memory-sharing service will take place at 5:00 p.m.
