She is survived by her husband Jon (59 years of marriage), their daughters Laurel and Lia (Neal), grandchildren Nikolaus, Alessandra, Gabriella, Mia, Zachary, Kai, Jax, Katia, and Sebastian, her sister Louise (Dave), several nieces, nephews, and a great niece.
Diana graduated from St. Rita High School in Detroit and Michigan State University College of Education. She taught in Rochester Community Schools, most recently as coordinator of English as a second Language for the district. She retired in 1997.
Diana had a wide circle of friends and traveled to Japan and Germany to visit colleagues and former students. She was proud of her Italian heritage and often returned to her parents' hometown of Gagliano Aterno.
All who knew and loved Diana remain grateful for her presence. She was a woman of many gifts and now rests in the peace and love of the Lord and is reunited with her parents Esmerino and Laura, and her sisters Cecilia and Eileen.
Visitation will be Tuesday January 16, 2024 from 4-9pm at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, 322 W, University Dr., Rochester MI, 48307. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at a later date.
