Donna June Walimaa

Donna June Walimaa, age 76, of Oakland, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Donna was born April 9, 1945 in Pontiac, Michigan to Ina May and Glenn Klibbe. Donna was a graduate of Dryden High School, class of 1963. She married John Sawgle in 1963 and had 3 children, Michael, Curtis and Rebecca. She later married her husband Gilbert Walimaa on August 9, 1976. Donna loved to garden, and worked for many years at Green Gardens, and also worked as a dedicated housewife caring for her family. Donna had an amazing sense of humor, and a huge caring heart. She was generous, sweet, and never said a bad word about anyone. She loved to play online games, a good meal, music, and her family. She was cherished by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Sawgle, her mother, Ina May Vroman, her father, Glenn Klibbe, her step-father, Marcel Vroman, and her brother Dennis Klibbe.

She is survived by her children Rebecca Parkoshon and Curtis Sawgle; grandson Jordan Smith; sister Diane Sawgle; nephew Aaron Sawgle (Erin); and great-nephews Carson and Jacob Sawgle.

A funeral will be held at Pixley Funeral Home on Monday, August 16th, at 12 PM with a visitation beforehand beginning at 11 o'clock.
