Born April 16, 1927 in Toronto, Ontario to Mary Winthorpe and Thomas King. She later married Joseph Houghton on July 14, 1945 and together, they had six beautiful children.
Doris is survived by her children; Richard (Beverly) Houghton of Brighton, Jon (Melinda) Houghton of Rochester Hills and Valerie (Lyall) Henderson of Clarkston as well as 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 6 nieces, 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Joe Houghton, infant son; Lawrence, daughters; Karen and JoAnn and brother; Philip (Edna ) King.
