Doris Alice Ruthenberg

Born in Detroit on September 15, 1936, Doris graduated from Denby High School and built a life filled with love, dedication, and strength. On April 23, 1956, she married Ledyard (Bud) E. Ruthenberg, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years until his passing on June 5, 2014. Together, they raised a family and worked side by side in their family business, Midwestern Sanitation, where Doris also served as the bookkeeper.

Doris centered her life around her family, whom she cherished deeply. She is survived by her beloved children: Diane Ruthenberg Hellner, Susan Clendening (Charlie), Sharon Derouin (Dave), and Paul Ruthenberg (Roberta). Additionally, she is survived by her twelve grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m. The interment will take place at Guardian Angel Cemetery following the service.
