DWIGHT MATTHEW PELTIER, age 56, of Shelby, died Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence. Dwight was born on February 25, 1961 in Pontiac, the son of Duane and Dolores Peltier. He attended Rochester Adams High School and had attended Michigan Christian College, where he was active in the Acapella Chorus. On June 20, 1984, Dwight was baptized at the Richland Hills Church of Christ in Richland Hills, Texas. For many years, he was a limousine driver with Brass Ring Productions, and later was a driver for Mayflower Moving. Most recently, Dwight worked at the Pixley Funeral Home. In addition to his parents, Duane and Dolores, Dwight is survived by his brothers Douglas (Sally) Peltier and Dave Peltier; Sisters Cheryl Taylor, Michele (Brian) Vanderhoff, Laurie Dillon, and Linda (Tony) Santos; 11 nieces & nephews and 13 great nieces & nephews. Dwight is also survived by his longtime girlfriend and companion, Anne Laclave and her son Arbor (Thalia). Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Rochester Church of Christ, 250 W. Avon Road, Rochester Hills. Mr. John Laster officiating. Interment at Mt. Avon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 3 p.m.to 8 p.m. at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester.
