Evonda M. Machir

Evonda was born the daughter of Frederick and Devona (Marshall) McMillen on November 11, 1931 in Wooster, Ohio. She graduated from Ada High School, class of 1949, then earned her bachelor degree in education from Ohio Northern University. Evonda married Daniel Machir on August 26th, 1956. She worked as an Elementary School teacher in Ohio, Maryland, and Michigan. Evonda enjoyed painting, crocheting, and sewing.

Evonda is survived by her husband Daniel; daughter Cindy (Daran) Machir-Lansky; grandchildren Daniel (Sarah) Machir, Kacy Machir, Morgan Lansky, Ian Machir, and Dustin Machir; great-grandchildren Daniel Jr. and Sidney Machir; Aunt to Scott McMillen and Lynne (Fred) Fitter. She was predeceased by her parents; her brother Robert McMillen and children Christopher Machir and Chaye McKinsey.

There will be a service on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, Michigan.
