Francesco “Frankie” Vella, age 59, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on November 10, 2021. Born February 25, 1962 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Onorio and Benedetta Vella. Francesco is survived by his sister, Rosemary (Gottlieb), his nieces Adriana and Katarina (Branden), and his two great-nieces Mariella and Verona. He is preceded in death by his father, Onorio and his mother, Benedetta.
Frank was a great friend and dedicated family man. Throughout his high school years and hockey playing days, he made friends who became family, and those same friends have stayed constant through everything he faced in life. He worked alongside his father in many of his business endeavors, always doing what he could to put his family first. Francesco always showed up dressed to the nines and decked out in gold jewelry. He loved hockey, racing, rock n roll music, and had the most infectious laugh in the room. Francesco was a man of few words, but when he spoke, you listened. He had a quiet gentleness about him and would protect those whom he loved at all costs. Never having children, he loved his nieces as if they were his own and he beamed with pride whenever he spoke of them. We will miss his jokes, his many stories, his laugh, and his comforting hugs.
