To all the Hills, our dear family friends. Your father was a true gentleman, a unique adventurer, and had the greatest voice ever! As a kid, I  loved listening to him talk, and when our families got together there was a lot of talking! We shared some fun times together.
Jan and I are sorry we were not with you for his funeral. Please accept our sympathies in the loss of your wonderful Dad.

I'm a member of St Andrew catholic church who visited Fred at Sunrise.  He was a true gentleman. On one occasion, Fred had us switch seats so I could have a better view out his window.  What a thoughtful person !

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Bud's passing. I always looked so forward to Uncle Bud and Aunt Eleanor's visits to Syracuse when I was young. We would all get together at Aunt Marion and Uncle Jack' s house, or at my parent's house, and have the best times. I can still hear Uncle Bud's wonderful laugh. He was one of a kind!

Uncle Fred will be missed.   He touched so many lives.   On our visits to Michigan he was an unforgettable person.   Remember him playing vinyl Wagner records.   He had the most amazing dog.  His voice and expressions were one of a kind.   He brought joy and wonderment to my life.

Tom, Michelle and family, I'm very sorry for your loss. In my heart, Fred SR. is a very special person. I will always remember - way back just after graduating from high school when Fred SR. hardly knew me. I was driving a gravel truck working at a construction site on General Motors Tech Center grounds. The site was full of mud, dirt, dust, and very noisy. I wasn't so clean looking myself. I was sitting in my gravel truck waiting to dump a load of sand, when this shimmering new GM car came driving by. When I looked down, I saw it was Fred SR. driving the car. I jumped out of the truck waving my hands yelling “hello Mr. Hill” (that's how I addressed him back then).  I must have scarred the bejesus out of him – but I didn't. Fred SR. stopped that shimmering new GM car - got out of it and walked over to me. He said “hi mike how you are doing” and shook my hand as if I was a Director at General Motors! What a lifting experience I had. 

I will never forget Mr. Hill.

i knew fred and eleanor from bridge playing.  i had the pleasure of attending fred's 90th birthday party.  what a wonderful couple!  I know his family will miss him.  i am unable to attend services for Fred but surely offer my sympathy to his faimily.  sincerely,  harriet robertson

Mr. Hill was his own person and treated all his children's friends as if they were his own, we always felt welcomed and appreciated whenever we met.  I will forever remember his nomanclature "Swhite" for me since he had his own Suzanne and many other friends with Susan for their first name.  Thus, this was used to identify me.  No one else has or probably will use such a treasured term of indearment.  God Bless all the Hills past and present and "May God keep you in the palm of his hand."
