Gale K. Commerson

Gale Kathryn (Parker) Commerson, 70, of Rochester Hills, passed away Tuesday November 14, 2017. Beloved wife of Hal for 47 years; dear mother of Ryan (Jessica) Commerson, Kathryn (Mike) Starn and the late Aaron (Tracy Yates) Commerson; caring grandmother of Parker, Holden, Ellis, and Jake; and sister of Janine (Dean) Koslofski and Doug Parker.

Gale was born the daughter of Ken and Ruth (Gale) Parker on January 18, 1947 in Binghamton New York. She graduated from Central Michigan University and married Harold Commerson on August 15, 1970.

Gale liked gardening, playing bridge at the Troy recreation center, yoga at the OPC, and travel, especially to Las Vegas with the Divas (Marty, Carole C., Carol W., and Sally). She treasured times with her grandkids and her former college roommates (Marty, Jan, Alma, and Susie).

Gale’s family will welcome guests for a visitation on Friday November 17th, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday November 18th from 11:00 a.m until the time of memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester. In lieu of flowers please donate to, “Aaron Commerson Scholarship Fund,” High Tech High, 2261 Womble Road. San Diego, CA 92106. This scholarship is given to hard working High Tech High students who have a passion for life, and a drive to continue their education but may not have the funds to do so.
