Glenn was born the son of Madeline (Nanney) and Fred Butterworth in Murray, Kentucky on October 22, 1940, and raised by Madeline and Jack Bundy. Glenn graduated from Madison High School, class of 1958, joined the Air Force and proudly served his country as an Airplane Engineer in Vietnam from 1961-1965. Glenn married Rosemarie and they raised their daughter Kimberly, in Auburn Hills. Glenn had a long career in automotive sales including work for Galeana’s Van Dyke Dodge for over 40 years.
Glenn loved golfing with friends and had a standing tee time at Bald Mountain. He enjoyed summers with his boat and friends at MacRay’s Yacht Club and nights out at Fran O’Brien’s and Andiamo’s.
Glenn is survived by grandchildren Jessica Snoek (husband Collin and great grandchild Odin), Adam Nail (soon to be great grandson in 2026), and Gabby Nail; sister-in-law Mary Butterworth; and nephews Craig Butterworth and wife Mary; Gary Butterworth and wife Tresha. Glenn was predeceased by his wife Rosemarie, daughter Kimberly; parents; and brother Robert Butterworth.
Glenn will be interred privately at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
