Gregory Stefani was born on April 3, 1936 in Detroit Michigan, the son of Ernest and Martha (Heinicke) Stefani. He graduated from U of D Jesuit High school and went on to get his degree from the University of Detroit. Gregory had a career in the automotive industry, working for Chrysler, Travco, and finally General Motors where he eventually retired from the SEO Engineering Group.
Gregory was a former member of the U of D sailing club and the Tip Toppers club of Detroit, as well as a volunteer firefighter for the Bloomfield Village Fire Department. He was also a member of the American Truck Historical Society. Gregory was an avid model railroader who built layouts that spanned the length of the basement of his home. He was a friend to animals, especially his beloved German Shepherd dogs, Baron, Gretchen, and Duke. A lifetime auto aficionado, Gregory loved cars and trucks and was always ready for a conversation about the industry. As a devoted Catholic, he was an usher for many years at St Andrew Catholic Church in Rochester.
Gregory is survived by his wife Linda Stefani and his son David Stefani, brother-in-law Dennis Dresser, sister-in-law Nancy Dresser, Niece and Nephew Kelly and Michael Dresser.
