Harold Lanktree

Harold was born to Eva and Harold Lanktree in Rochester, Michigan, on May 19, 1941. Harold graduated from Rochester High School, then went on to graduate from Oakland University, with a Bachelors of Art in physics. Harold was the first graduating class from Oakland University, receiving his degree in 1963.

Before retiring, Harold worked as an engineer at Chrysler for many years. In retirement, he spent most of his time working with his hands, becoming a master gardener, and having a passion for woodworking. Harold also enjoyed reading a good book, and playing online games; Everquest was his favorite.

Harold is survived by his two daughters; Adrienne (Michael) Girardin and Amy (John) Hajec, his grandchildren; Madison Hoak, Olivia Girardin, Cassidy Girardin, and Zoë Hajec, and his two sisters; Mary Kay (Donald) Sheldon, and Barbara Ann Lanktree.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold’s name may be made to the Rochester Hills Public Library.
