Irene Dubina

Irene Dubina, nee Wronka, age 100, passed away on February 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Family was everything to her, and her love knew no bounds. She was a beacon of kindness and support, always ready to lend a helping hand never needing recognition.

Irene's passions included cooking, traveling, entertaining, and caring for her special daughter, Barbara. Her vibrant spirit illuminated those around her. As a devoted mother and cherished grandmother, Irene dedicated her life to spreading joy and happiness. Her pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren reflected in all she did, and she embraced all 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren with open arms. These relationships enriched her life and Irene treasured it all.

Irene was a passionate advocate, volunteer, and fundraiser for Park Lawn Association for the Handicapped. Park Lawn supported Barbara throughout every stage of her life. Irene participated in various activities, including bingo, bowling, stuffing envelopes, and dinner dances. She always encouraged her family and friends to join her in fundraising efforts aimed at improving the lives of everyone at Park Lawn.

Though Irene has departed from this world, her compassionate spirit will continue to inspire us. We will always cherish the laughter she brought into our lives and the countless ways she made our world brighter. While this world has lost a beautiful soul, Heaven has gained a spectacular, loving, and caring angel.

Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry J. Dubina; her son, James Dubina; daughter-in-law, Janet Dubina (Budd); niece, Christine Kitz (Wronka); sister, Tillie Wronka; brother, Edward Wronka; and parents, Anna and Stanley Wronka.

She is survived and missed by her children: Diane Krueger (Paul), Henry Dubina (Rosemarie), Elizabeth Marten (David), George Dubina (Denise), Nancy Stubenrauch (George), Barbara Dubina, and Edward Dubina (Deborah), along with her 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4-8 pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.

A Mass will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Gianna’s Church, 10233 S. Central Park Ave., Evergreen Park, IL 60805.

Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W 111th St, Worth, IL 60803.
