ADAMS, James”Jim” H., age 74 of Shelby Township. Died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Beaumont Hospital-Troy. Jim was born on March 10, 1938 in Utica, Michigan, son of the late Ralph and Margurite (Horn) Adams. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dixie Lee (Schatz) Adams, children Michelle (Matthew) Puzdrowski, James Adams and Matthew Adams. Also survived by grandchildren Kelly, Joshua, Cailee and Aidan, great grandchildren Jake and Dillon, and a sister, Sally Morgan. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a sister Pat Loyer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jim had formerly owned & operated Shelby Glass and had been employed at the Chrysler Plant-Jefferson North. He was a member of the Real Life Church and the U.A.W. Jim loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his yard. An avid football fan, Jim enjoyed watching both U of M and Detroit Lions. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, Pastor Dennis Rasper officiating.
