James Dale Cowen

James Dale Cowen of Ortonville, Michigan, age 60 died peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on November 10, 2025. James (Jim/Jimmy) is the loving husband of Tina for 32 wonderful years; cherished father of Paige (Lucas) Jeffers and Grace Cowen. Also grandfather of Jaxson “Prince James” Jeffers. Jim is also survived by his parents James and Donna Cowen and younger brother Paul (Korri) Cowen, his sister Melody (Doug) Gawne and his older brother David (Bonnie) Cowen.

Jim graduated from GMI and Baker College and held a bachelor’s degree in business. He worked successfully in the auto industry/manufacturing for over 40 years and has worked for Webasto for the past 20+ years.

He was heavily involved in his church (Heritage Baptist Church) through teaching Sunday school, singing in the choir and providing for others through his food bank ministry. He loved helping people and wanted to show them God's love through his life.

He enjoyed working outside, spending time at his property up north and occasionally hunting. Jim loved being with his family and friends and will be missed by all those whose lives he touched. We will see him again one day in Heaven. This is the promise in

I Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Heritage Baptist Church, 2024 Pontiac Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. The service will be live streamed.

The Cowen family will greet guests from 10:30 AM until the time of the noon service.
