James Richard Hunter, 84, of Rochester Hills, passed away October 19th 2015. He was born in Detroit, MI. on March 11th 1931. Jim graduated from Henry Ford Trade School. He was married to Doris Rokash Hunter January 31, 1959. Jim had a career as a sheet metal worker for Ford Motor Company for 45 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers and had a passion for gardening and outdoor activities. He was survived by his children James W. Hunter, Cindy Hunter and Sam Nickels, and David B. Hunter; his grandchildren James T., and Melanie A. Hunter, Amanda J. Werb, Heather D., Alex L., Analidia P. Hunter-Nickels, Sofia Rogel; and his great granddaughter Jocelyn Hunter-Rogel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations suggested to Leader Dogs for the Blind or to Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 6-8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr. Rochester, MI. 48307.
