Jerry G. Scott

SCOTT, Jerry G, age 69, passed away January 1, 2015 at Rose Arbor Hospice Facility in Portage. Jerry was born in Detroit on January 31, 1945 to Gifford and Dorothyanne Scott. He married his loving wife, Margaret, in November 1969. Jerry was dedicated to his career in Engineering and business, with a culmination at GHSP where he served as the President and CEO. He also served on the board of directors of the Grand Angels and served on the board, as well as Vice President, of Jandernoa Entrepreneurial Mentoring (JEM). Jerry was a passionate yachtsman and explorer who traveled all over the world on everything from sailboats to RVs to cruise ships. Jerry is survived by his wife, Margaret; children, Erika (James) White, Geoffrey (Melissa) Scott, and John Scott; grandchildren, Collin, Bradley, Emerson, Catherine, Grant, and Preston. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m, Tuesday, January 6 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W University Dr, Rochester. A Funeral Service is being held at 11:00 a.m, Wednesday, January 7 at Pixley Funeral Home, Rev. Donald F. Quigley to officiate. Interment ceremonies are being held at 11:00 a.m, Thursday, January 8 at Lakeport Cemetery, 3906 Burtch Rd, Lakeport.
