John Charles Schlosser III, age 78, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Jack was born on February 1, 1947 in Teaneck, New Jersey to Rosamond and George Schlosser. He attended Westwood High School and obtained his business degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University. A man of integrity, he worked diligently in the industries of banking and technology.
Jack was married to his beloved wife Maureen (nee O'Brien) Schlosser for almost 53 years. Together they raised two children, Kimberly and Brian.
Some of Jack’s greatest joys included spending time with his grandchildren - either cheering them on at their sporting events or cheering on the Tigers with them.. He cherished his annual trips to Hilton Head Island and Up North with Maureen. He loved golf and spent most Saturday mornings on the green with friends. Jack even landed a retirement job at Top Golf, which was so much fun for him. Some of his closest friendships are those from childhood, particularly his crew known as The Jersey Boys, they all loved Jack's easy going demeanor. It would be remiss not to mention his hole in one and his affinity for a good glass of red wine.
Jack is survived by his wife Maureen Schlosser; daughter Kimberly Raffler (Kurt); son Brian Schlosser; sister Maddy Kiska (Tom), sister Roz Kitchner, and brother George Schlosser (Lynn); grandchildren Rowan, Emme, Baylor, and Tucker; and his sister-in-law Pat Obstfeld.
Jack was preceded in death by his father George Schlosser and mother Rosamond Schlosser; uncle John Charles Schlosser II; mother-in-law Josephine O’Brien; and his beloved dog Callaway.
A memorial visitation for Jack will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM. There will be a reception to follow at Great Oaks Country Club, if you plan on attending please let Kim, Brian or Maureen know. Casual golf attire is appropriate to honor Jack's love of the sport.
