John David Scott

John David Scott, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away Friday September 22nd, 2023 at the age of 85. John was born the son of Odie and Anita (Daniel) Scott in Memphis, Tennessee on January 25, 1938.

John’s family moved to Michigan and he graduated from Rochester High School class of 1956. John was manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Madison Heights, Michigan where he met his future wife. He then began a long career in lawn maintenance and landscaping. He married Mary Pisauro on May 11th, 1972. John and Mary raised their family in Rochester Hills.

John enjoyed music, bird watching, gardening, and any DIY project. He loved his children and grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving wife Mary Scott; children Steven Scott, Dawn (John) Knight, John David Scott II, and Michelle Pawlez; and grandchildren Natasha Butler, Jack Edward Knight, Grace Knight, and Breanna Scott. John was predeceased by his parents; and siblings Shirley Hadden, Neil Scott, and Carol Miller.

John’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Wednesday September 27th, 2023 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
