Joyce is survived by her son, Ted R. Fletcher Jr. (Cindy), her sister-in-law Maryanne Chrisman, her nieces Jennifer Smielewski (Paul), Michele Boertman (Scott), and Cathy Hollopeter (Scott), her brother-in-law Russ Winship, and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her aunt Judy Esch, and her cousins Katrina Esch and Elizabeth Brown. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted R. Fletcher Sr., her brother Robert Chrisman, her sister Janet Winship, her sister-in-law Lois Ryan, her husband of sister-in-law John Ryan, her cousin-in-law Bob Ryan, and her parents, Eva and Hugh Chrisman.
Joyce's early life was marked by creativity, as she learned to cross stitch and made clothes for the dolls her mother crafted. Her personal interests included gardening, attending craft shows, supporting local businesses, and a deep love for animals, particularly fostering dogs. Joyce enjoyed watching baseball, especially when her son played.
In her community, Joyce was known for her involvement in supporting Outkast rescue. Her distinct laugh was infectious, bringing joy to those around her. Joyce was a friend to all, and food was a significant part of her love language; she often prepared meals or brought food to share, which allowed her to connect with others.
Visitation will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan, on December 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 11:00 am. A luncheon will follow the service from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Burial will take place at Christian Memorial Gardens West, 521 E. Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, Michigan, at 2:00 pm.
Joyce will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the warmth she shared with everyone she met.
