PEARCY, L. David, age 78, of Rochester Hills, MI died August 28, 2013. Born and raised in Martinsville, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a graduate of General Motors Institute, His career was spent as an Engineer with General Motors Corp. until his retirement in 1992 after 35 years of service. He was a long time member of the Heart of the Hills Barbershop Music group where he sang baritone and tenor. Beloved husband of Anna Bastin Pearcy, whom he married August 24, 1957. Proud and loving father of Ann (Rene) Blatte, Anita (Richard) Robinson and Sarah Pearcy. Devoted grandfather of Aubrey, Beau, Abby, Montgomery and Erin. Brother of Hiram (Jane) Pearcy. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Street in Rochester, MI. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, MI. Rather than flowers, his family would prefer that contributions in his memory be made to The Harmony Foundation, 110 7th Avenue – North, Suite 2000, Nashville, TN 37203 or to the Alzheimers Association and envelopes for both organizations will be available at the funeral home and at the church.

David Pearcy, as a teenager, was a solid citizen and a role model. As years have passed he has grown into a gentle man and a gentleman we all admired and respected. He will always live for us who have experienced his great smile, unique laugh and considerate courtesy.
