Laura LaVerne Hicks

She was born in Tuscola, Illinois on April 17, 1940. Laura St. John graduated from University Liggett School. She was married to Michael Jason Hicks on July 20th, 1978.

Laura worked for Polaroid, Jacobson's Department Store, and as an office manager for S.S.O.E Group. She was passionate about her faith, traveling, going on cruises, planning parties, and most of all, her family.

Laura is survived by her husband Michael. Children; Jeffrey (Michelle) Sugg of Rochester Hills MI, John (Joyce) Sugg of Ferndale MI, and Kristi (Shawn) Peralta of Clarkston MI. Grandchildren; Jennifer Sugg, Bronwyn (Hunter) Critchfield, Robert(Sherri) Pray, Garrett Sugg, Chris (Lindsey) Peralta, Lauren Peralta, and Wade Bonnici. Great Grandchildren; Millicent Aine Critchfield, Emily Pray, and Alaina Pray. Brother; Lloyd J St. John. Laura is preceded in death by her brothers Lee Whitmer St. John, Leonard Owen St. John, and Lynn John St. John.

Visitation will be held at 5pm-8pm, Wednesday January 17, 2024 and 3pm-8pm, Thursday January 18, 2024 at Pixley Funeral Home 322 W. University Rochester MI 48307. Funeral Service will be at 11am on Friday January 19, 2024 at Pixley Funeral Home 322 W. University Dr. Rochester MI 48307.
