She was born in Sylvarena Mississippi on August 29, 1935.
Lavonne graduated from Royal Oak High School and received an Associate degree from Oakland Community College. Lavonne was an active participant in life. She was successful in anything she put her mind to. Her career life included, professional modeling, owning her own business, writing, designing and working in real estate. Lavonne enjoyed traveling and was always learning.
As a mother, grandmother, sister and friend she was survived by daughter Lisa (Steve) Floyd and Kristen (Blair) Nowak, grandchildren Luke (Andrea) Floyd, Matthew Floyd, Emma Nowak, Nathan (Esther) Nowak, Lora Nowak, great grandchildren Nyah and Noah Nowak, and brother Nat Upton.
A Memorial gathering for Lavonne will be held Monday, December 4, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307, followed by a Memorial service at 11:00 AM.
