Lawrence C. Prudhomme

PRUDHOMME, Lawrence C., age 83, of Macomb twp, died November 4, 2015. He was born in Ottawa, Canada on July 8, 1932. Larry served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He founded Oakland Welding Industries in 1962, retiring in 1997. Beloved husband of Sherrie Decker Prudhomme, the late Marianne T. Prudhomme and the late Shirley Prudhomme; father of Lawrence A. (Cathy) Prudhomme, Jeanne (Mark) Stella-Odell, Kimberly Wattles, the late Paul (Christine) Prudhomme, Debra (Ron Rudnicki) Sturm, and Amy (Paul) Rusinowski; grandfather of 14; great-grandfather of 16; and brother of Richard, Joanne, and the late Irv. Visitation 3 – 8 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., in downtown Rochester with a Rosary Service beginning at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Rd, Macomb. Larry will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until start of Mass. Memorial Contributions in Mr. Prudhomme's honor may be made to the church.
