Rest in peace Aunt Leola. We'll always remember the Christmas get togethers at the VFW hall, 4th of July celebrations in Houghton Lake, going over to Higgins Lake and hanging out on the shore and going to Rochester every now and then to see the Evans gang.

All of us in Texas (Harold, Greg, Laura, Amber, JP, Seth, Christopher and Abigail) want to express our deep condolences to the Evans family. It is very difficult during this pandemic to lose a loved one and not be able to be together and share these memories in person. Take care, we're thinking about all of you.

Rest in peace Aunt Lee. May God be with Don, Mike, Janice and the rest of her family as we heal from our sorrow over her loss.

Wendy

Janis & Bryan,
I just wanted to express my condolences to your family. You are in my prayers.

Aunt Leola is such a special soul! She was always kind, loving and generous. Growing up it was always the best going to Prudenville to spend summers with my grandparents, Aunt Lee ,Uncle Don , Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Harold and all the cousins. Bonfires, card games, cookouts, boating, riding the dune buggies and spending time with family. Aunt Lee always welcomed us into her home and shared her wonderful cooking and baking. It was my pleasure to help care for Aunt Lee after one her hospitalizations when she needed help getting stronger before returning home. All my coworkers commented on what a sweet, kind and determined lady and model patient she was. Even feeling not her best her spirit shined through. Her life truly did reflect her love for the Lord. We will miss you until we meet again in Heaven! Now that all the sisters are together it just got a little louder in Heaven, I know they are all enjoying being together again with their loved ones gone before us. Thank you for being a beautiful part of my life, love you Aunt Lee!

So many wonderful Family gatherings and learning to play poker at Aunt Leola’s & Uncle Don’s. Her mind was sharp and She is the last of Historians for our family. Thankful she is a woman of faith and with all those loved ones gone before us. Love ❤️ you all

Just wanted to share the time Lee came out with Patte and Jayde to visit us here on Delaware. We had the best time. We took her to NYC she really enjoyed it. And while she was here we took her to Lancaster Pa. she loved the Amish country and all the quilts for sale. She even bought one. I know she will be missed by all those who loved her.

Dear Mike, Theresa and Family,

Was so sad to hear about the loss of your Mom/Grandma. Laura shared so many beautiful memories of her on FB. I can only dream about being a Grandmother like that. Raising her family with great values and respect has definitely been passed on through your family generations. May God be with you during this time of grief.

Sincerely, Sue & Dennis Vandeberghe

Aunt Leola was a great baker and I loved her potato salad. She came to see all of my houses and even the house I am in now and she came over and wanted to help clean when we first moved in. We had great memories of going up north and all of the family gatherings we so much fun. The sisters always had to take a picture of the 5 of them at every occasion we had. Aunt Leola told me how proud of all of my accomplishments even when my mom couldn't. I love her and miss her. I am glad see will be seeing her husband and sisters.
