Leslie D. Walter, 89, of Rochester Hills, passed away on July 10, 2015. Leslie was born in Atlas, Michigan, of parents Clarence Walter and Etta Walter (Hudson). He was one of eight siblings. Leslie served valiantly in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre aboard the U.S.S Kadashan Bay, and received five Bronze Stars for heroism in combat. As a long time businessman in the Pontiac area, his corporation, Trans Tube, Inc. has provided jobs to the community, and weapon systems to the military, since 1969.
Leslie was the beloved husband of Daisey for over 69 years. They were blessed with two children, Linda (Sal) Cantatore, L. Dale Walter, and grandchild Alex Cantatore. Leslie is also survived by his sister Marion Couture. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 14, 2015 from 4-8pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr. Rochester, MI 48307.
