

Linda was born on November 3, 1963, in Pontiac, Michigan, the beloved daughter of James and Mary Madson. She graduated from Rochester Adams High School in 1981 and later earned her master’s degree from Oakland University.
Linda devoted 28 years to serving as an elementary school teacher in the Ferndale School District, where she touched the lives of countless students, families, and colleagues through her kindness, patience, and dedication.
She was a devoted Detroit Tigers fan and a longtime member of Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Birmingham, where her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life. Linda especially treasured her close friendship with Pastor Steve and the support of her church family. Linda enjoyed annual vacations to California to visit her cousin Sean, creating beautiful beadwork, and spending time with her beloved cats; Mikaela, Noah, Owen and Khloe. Linda was a big supporter of OPC and deeply appreciated their care and accommodation over the years, especially Mark and Rob from transportation.
Linda is survived by many loving cousins, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and her cherished cat, Khloe. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Madson, and her sister Cheryl Madson
All are invited to a memorial visitation on Tuesday, July 7, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, Michigan 48307. A luncheon will follow the service, and inurnment will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Avon Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s honor to Our Shepherd Lutheran Church – Love for Others Fund.
