Lisa Marie Lamerato-Laviolette, age 59, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 in the presence of family. Lisa was born in Troy, Michigan to Dolores Lamerato and Joseph Lamerato on November 12, 1965. After graduating from Athens High School, Lisa's path in life became clear to her. She knew she wanted to help guide and grow the next generation so she chose to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development from Oakland University. Her care and commitment to the children of her community was astounding to all that witnessed it. She began as a Early Childhood Teacher before choosing to open Learning Pathways, taking on the role of both business owner and Childcare Director. She loved her work and operated Learning Pathways from 1999 to 2011, only closing its doors so she could focus on her next great feat, being an amazing mother. Lisa's greatest joy was spending time with her son Cole, and daughter Madeline. When her children expressed interest in sports, she was more than willing to support them and when they started school, she became a frequent volunteer at school events. Lisa knew how quickly time passes by so she became the family photographer, capturing moments together both big and small. When her niece Danielle had children, she enjoyed engaging in crafts and outings with her great niece and nephew. Her caring spirit did not end with children. When her mother, Dolores, became ill, Lisa helped tend to her and eventually brought Dolores into her home when she could no longer stay on her own. When Lisa needed a moment to unwind, she found joy in creative hobbies such as crafting, baking, and cooking. She enjoyed finding personalized and thoughtful gifts for others. She maintained a fairy garden at her home that she was quite proud of. Spending time with her Yorkipoo, Opal, also helped her feel refreshed after a long day, as well as a little bit of retail therapy. The world is a little dimmer without her here with us, but the family takes solace in the knowledge that they will see her again.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Gary Lee Laviolette; son Cole Joseph Laviolette; daughter Madeline Ann Laviolette; brother Mark Lamerato (Vicki); niece Danielle Courtemanche (Justin); nephews Dominick Lamerato and Bryan Faucher; great nephew Thomas Courtemanche and great niece Sawyer Courtemanche; mother-in-law Lou Ann Laviolette; and brother-in-law Gregg Laviolette.
Lisa was preceded in death by her mother Dolores Lamerato; father Joseph Lamerato; sister Dina Faucher (Brian); grandmother Anna Jablonski; grandfather Edward Jablonski; and father-in-law Ronald Laviolette.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Salvatore and Vittoria Lamerato; her aunts, Mary Guarano, Sarafina Sapia, Teresa LaGatta and Angeline Rooks; and her uncles, John Lamerato and her godfather Sam Lamerato. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving aunts, Rose Katanski, Victoria Lamerato and Gina Lamerato as well as her cousins, Kathy Sapia, Helen Burnette, Onorina DeGalen, Maria McMullen, Anita Somero, Amelia Katanski-O'Brien, and Vittoria Katanski, who will always treasure her memory.
