Lisa Ann Tyus

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lisa Ann Tyus (Korth), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, who departed this life on December 23, 2024 at the tender age of 58.

Lisa passed away in her home in Rochester Hills, MI after a long hard fight from FOSMN (a rare form of ALS).

Lisa leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her in their hearts: her devoted husband, Paul Rys, daughter Alexis Tyus, son Jeremy Tyus, granddaughter Marley Thomason, mother Sandra Alexander, brother Don Korth (Deanna Korth), sister Sally Korth (Mark DeMaagd), stepson Austin Rys (Jerrica Rys) grandsons Kylo and Ronin, stepdaughter Alli Revee (Dvir Revee), granddaughter Renie. She was preceded in death by her father Donald Korth.

From a very young age Lisa was mechanically inclined, so it was no surprise when she decided to pursue a degree in engineering. She earned her mechanical engineering degree from Michigan State University. She was proud of her career at both Ford Motor Company and most recently Chrysler Corporation. She was very dedicated to her profession and believed it was important to always go the extra mile giving 100%+.

Above all, Lisa loved her family. When not working, it was important to her to spend time with her immediate and extended family. She never missed a family gathering on both her mother and father’s side.

Before her diagnosis, Lisa was close to retiring and looking forward to spending the rest of her life with her best friend/husband Paul. Sadly, this did not happen, but Paul was her dedicated caregiver steadfast by her side to the very end.

Lisa’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the memories and stories shared by those who loved her.

A celebration of Lisa's life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to gather and honor her. May she rest in eternal peace.
