She was born in Tupperville, Ontario Canada on Monday, April 17th, 1933.
She attended Dresden High School.
She married an American, Donald Bauer on September 8, 1956, at the Zion Free Methodist Church in the Township of Sombra, Ontario, and moved to the states. Don and Lois met as camp counselors in 1953 at Thamesford Maple Grove Christian Camp. They were together for 68 years.
Lois was devoted to her husband, Don, and was always by his side. She dedicated her life to serving her four children, the Jennings family, and her church. She was a Christian and an active member of the Zion, Auburn Hills, and Clarkston Free Methodist Churches.
Lois loved being a mother, was a hard worker, creative, and had many talents. Lois created lovely shell pictures in her youth, she was an avid reader and an excellent speller. She was a passionate baker and often in the kitchen making pies and cookies, she loved to crochet and taught her girls to sew. Lois and Don enjoyed traveling and took their children on many camping vacations. Lois had a beautiful life as a true partner and wife to her husband, Don.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Bauer. Her children: Wanda (Roger) Linkous, Harold Bauer, Lisa Adams, and Janel (Rob) Toal. Her grandchildren: Nickolas (Michelle) Linkous, Haley (Joe) Imesch, Chad Bauer, Jason Bauer, Kara Hall, Nathan (Stephanie) Bauer, Zac Adams, Ian Adams, Aidan Toal, Isabel Toal, and Eoin Toal. Her great-grandchildren: Tae Woong Linkous, Eli Linkous, Ellie Imesch, expectant baby Imesch, Kirsta Hall, Dominik Hall, and Gabrianna Hall. Her sisters are Mary (Clayton) Robinson, and Evelyn (Phil) Lawerence. Her brother Bev (Pat) Jennings and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
Lois is walking in heaven with her parents, Harold and Ethel Jennings, and her brother Fred (Tammy) Jennings.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Pixley Funeral Home located in Rochester, Michigan on Monday, December 27, 2021. Visitation starts at 10:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 am. Immediately following will be our burial conducted at Christian Memorial Gardens, Rochester Hills.
Those desiring may leave a donation in Lois’ name with Angela’s Hospice in Livonia.
