Marilyn Esther Hanson

Marilyn was born in Detroit, to Merrill and Edith Crosby, on April 27, 1945. She attended Everett High School in Lansing, and went on to marry the love of her life, Gary Hanson, on June 29, 1963. Marilyn and Gary spent 61 wonderful years married, and brought three daughters into the world; Kim, Kari, and Kellie.

Marilyn was a devoted wife and mother, spending many of her years at home raising their three daughters. Marilyn then went on to have a career as an office manager.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband; Gary Hanson, her daughters; Kim Schrauben, Kari Hanson, and Kellie Furgerson, grandchildren; Matt (Taryn) Schrauben, Kyle (Sammy) Schrauben, Mackenzie Furgerson, Kennedy Furgerson, Doug Duncan, and Camden Duncan, great grandchildren; Spencer Rose Schrauben, Violet Elizabeth Schrauben, and Sadie June Schrauben.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Merrill and Edith Crosby, and her son in law, Rob Furgerson.

A visitation for Marilyn will be held on Tuesday September 24, 2024 from 5 to 8 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, Michigan 48307. A funeral mass will be held on September 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with an instate period beginning at 10:30 AM, at St. Andrews Catholic Church, located at 1400 Inglewood Ave, Rochester, MI 48307. Following mass, Marilyn will be laid to rest at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
