Marilyn was born the daughter of William and Ella (Adams) Tom in Berkley, Michigan on July 2, 1945. Marilyn attended Berkley High School. She married Glenn “Joe” John on July 21st, 1962 and they raised their family in Rochester Hills. Marilyn worked several jobs including at Five Star Drapery, Mailboxes Etc., and Dr. Zaki’s Office.
Marilyn loved to spend time crafting, making silk flower arrangements, and playing poker with her family on the weekends.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Joe in 2009. She is survived by her children Nedine (Mike) Johnson, Lisa (Brian) McIntyre, Linette (Chet) Kuskowski, and Christine John; grandchildren Nick, Glenn, Stacey, Michael, Ashley, Rachel, Caitlyn, and Riley; great-grandchildren Olivia, Hudson, and Kayson.
Marilyn’s family will hold a memorial luncheon on Sunday May 7th, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the East Chapel on the grounds of Christian Memorial Cemetery, located at 521 East Hamlin Road in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
