Mark was born on May 21,1960 to the late Charles and Anne (Cavender) Davidson in Norwalk, California. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Warren Michigan, class of 1978 and served his country in the United States Army. Mark was a very talented singer. In his early years, he joined the Grosse Pointe Lakeshore men’s chorus and formed the barbershop quartet “Kingfish and the Mystic Knights of the Sea”. He also did a stint as a background singer for Wayne Newton in Las Vegas.
Mark was employed as the Purchasing Manager at Schwab Industries for the past 11 years. He previously worked at General Motors, Prototype Tooling & Manufacturing, as well as the Palace of Auburn Hills and Pine Knob for fun, with numerous adventures working crowd control.
Mark loved his country and was proud of his military service where he served as chauffeur for his commander. To honor veterans, he and his family cleaned grave markers at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, where he will be interred. He travelled to Utah Beach in Normandy, France, with his wife, to walk the landing path his father took during WWII. Mark had a servant's heart and was always helpful in any way he could. He was an assistant scout master with Boy Scouts Troop #356 through St. John Lutheran Church. His family will cherish the multiple ski trips Up North with their St. John family, and memories of the Cabin at Interlochen and trips to Springhill. He enjoyed traveling the country with his father-in-law over their many shared hobbies. Mark loved anything about history, westerns and comedy. He loved to make people laugh and will be known forever for his sense of humor which will be deeply missed.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Shelley; children William (Hollie) Davidson, James Davidson, Ian Davidson, and Nathan Davidson. Also survived by his siblings James (Candy) Davidson, Donald (Yolanda) Davidson, Charles Davidson, Barbara (Carl) Topper, and Wenona Davidson.
