Millie Leegstra

Millie was born the daughter of Reginald and Nora (Gallienne) Priaulx in Detroit, Michigan on July 20, 1920. She graduated from Denby High School in Detroit and married Roy Leegstra on July 5th, 1941 at St. Mark Church in Detroit. Millie had a career as an executive secretary at J.L. Hudson’s for many years.

Millie had a passion for cruising, crafting and family events.

Millie is survived by her children Roy Leegstra, Wendy Fox, and Bonnie O’Connell; Grandchildren Kim (Steve) Sanderson, Roy Jr. (Jenny) Leegstra, DJ (Stacy) Fox, Dawn (Jeff Campbell) Hovey, Nichole (Andrew) Schweitzer, Julie (Glen) Brann, Keith (Sherry) Fox, Tammi (George) Gibson, and Sherry (Ed) Wilcox. Great-grandchildren Emma Sanderson, Mackenzie Fox, Brooklynn Fox, Tyler Spears, Jessica (James Monacelli) Hovey, Lucas Hovey, Lucas Campbell, Audrianna Campbell, Preston Schweitzer, Nixon Schweitzer, Hudson Schweitzer, Lincoln Brann, Millie Brann, Brandon Gibson, and Cyrena Wilcox. Millie was predeceased by her husband Roy Leegstra; her parents; and five siblings.

No services will be held at this time. Millie's family will hold a private memorial in the spring.
