Muriel Grace Ludwig, 94, of Rochester Hills, MI, passed away September, 3, 2021. She was born in Detroit, MI on March 28, 1927 to James and Grace (nee Davenport) Stevens. On December 31, 1946, she married her loving husband, Henry Ludwig. They were married for 72 years.
She had retired from Rochester Community Schools managing cafeterias and afterwards worked for Yates Cider Mill. A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Rochester, Muriel had a passion for serving Jesus Christ. She cared for her beloved husband Henry, as well as serving as a Sunday school teacher who loved teaching young children. She prayed vigilantly for her family and friends, including her church family, and was known to be a “prayer warrior”. Muriel also enjoyed baking and most enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Jim H. Ludwig, Ruthann Schinzing, Sandra Hoover (Brad) and Laura Clayton (Doug); her 10 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and her sister, Wilda Corey.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband Henry in 2019; her parents; a brother James Stevens; a sister Erma DeLong; and son-in-law Donald Schinzing.
In honor of Muriel’s wishes, public services will not be held at this time. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery.
