Born in Houghton/Hancock, Michigan, on April 30, 1950, Nancy grew up with a quiet strength and gentle spirit that she carried throughout her life. She graduated from Ferndale High School, Class of 1968, and later pursued her education at Lansing Business University (now LCC) in Lansing, Michigan.
Nancy built a long and dedicated career as an administrative assistant and in retail sales. Known for her loyalty, diligence, and meticulous attention to detail, she worked for several respected companies including: Digital Equipment Corp., Bechtel Power Corp., Dupont, CIM Consulting/EZ Claim Medical Billing Software (from which she retired in 2016), as well as for retail companies JL Hudsons and Wild Wings.
On June 19, 1982, Nancy married the love of her life, Gregg Partridge. Together they built a beautiful life grounded in love, laughter, and deep devotion to family. By far Nancy’s greatest pride and joy was in being a mother and in creating a strong, loving family. She was the warmth and soul of nurturing home. Though naturally shy and reserved, Nancy’s caring heart, kind spirit, and radiant smile touched everyone who knew her. She cherished her extended family of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews, and delighted in family gatherings and celebrations.
In her spare time Nancy was a voracious reader and an accomplished seamstress. As a young woman she learned to sew and often sewed some of her own clothes and enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughter Lauren. Nancy was a member of the Oakland County Quilting Guild for many years and was particularly fond of an Art Quilt Group she participated in. She was often her greatest critic, but enjoyed the quilting process immensely, where she found great joy in creativity and community. She loved sewing, quilting, and crafts, and spent countless happy hours immersed in designs, fabric, patterns, sewing and being with her friends. She was very proud of several of their creations.
Her favorite places reflected her love of Michigan’s and Canada’s natural beauty—Mullett Lake, the Keweenaw Peninsula, the Upper Peninsula, and Canada’s Muskoka region, Bruce Peninsula, Georgian Bay and Provincial Parks, provided her peaceful escapes. She was also a devoted Michigan Sports fan, regularly rooting for the Detroit Lions, the Detroit Pistons and for the Michigan Wolverine football and basketball teams.
Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Gregg Partridge, and her daughter, Lauren (Ryan) Zoumbaris.
A memorial visitation will take place at Pixley Funeral Home on December 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., with a reception immediately following at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
