Nancy Regina Recksiedler

Born on July 30, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, Nancy was a proud graduate of Denby High School. She went on to earn her degree in education from Michigan State University, launching a lifelong career dedicated to teaching and mentoring. Nancy served in the Detroit Public Schools system and later shared her expertise at Wayne State University, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.

On September 11, 1964, Nancy married the love of her life, Donald Recksiedler. Together, they built a life grounded in mutual respect, love, and a shared commitment to community and family.

Outside of her professional life, Nancy found joy in simple pleasures. She loved sewing and knitting, had a deep affection for animals, and cherished spending time in nature.

She is survived by her beloved sisters, Rosemarie Curtis and Joyce Peters, as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit.

Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
