Nazar Malkasian passed away on July 6th, 2020. He was born in Detroit and proudly served in WWII. After the war, he co-owned Oakland Vending until 1961. Then he owned Jeffrey’s restaurant in Pontiac, the Union Lake and Shelby Dairy Queens, as well as the Dog ‘N Suds in Pontiac. He managed the Rochester Elks club for 10 years. He then owned Franks A Lots with his wife Barbara until his retirement at age 80. Nazar is survived by his 6 children, Ted (Susan), Tom, Mary (Joe) Michalek, Tim, Jim (Patricia), and Jeff; He has 13 grandchildren , 13 great grandchildren, and two step daughters, Cassandra and Leah Laurencelle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou in 1982; his wife, Barbara in 2012; his brother, John Malkasian, and sisters Agnes Dourjalian and Vicki Said.
