Patricia Ann Carpenter

Patricia Ann Carpenter, age 97, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023, at the Naples Marbella Condominium Cove surrounded by her family. Born and married in Detroit, she and husband, William Pendergrass, had five children. Following his death, she remarried twice. She is survived by her children, their spouses and offspring which grew to include nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A month prior to her passing, she was the centerpiece of a five-generation female family photograph.

Among her many talents, Patricia’s most remarkable was her way with people. If you met her, you knew her. She was a spark of life to everyone she met, regardless of their station in life. She was curious, kind, interested, funny and a devoted friend – unforgettable.

A devout Catholic her entire life, she was active in the Naples St. William’s parish, Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and Ave Maria Law School.

She will be missed forever by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and friends…

A small funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, for her five children and spouses. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
