Perry F. Galpin

Dear father of Nancy (Jim) Scott, Nina Hankins, and David Galpin; caring grandfather of Andrew (Addie) Hankins, Eric (Karo Erilck) Hankins, Megan (Aaron) McIntosh, Melissa (Curt) Christianson, Laurie Scott, and Stephen Scott; and great-grandfather of 6 great-grandchildren. Perry was predeceased by his loving wife Audrey in 2013; his parents Edward and Pauline (Wilson) Galpin; and his 6 siblings.

Perry was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 21, 1922. He served under General Patton during WWII and married Helen Audrey Webb on May 20, 1950 in Rochester, Michigan. Perry was a truck driver for General Motors Truck and Bus for 25 years, retiring in 1987. He attended First Baptist Church of Rochester.

Perry loved to travel and read about steam locomotives. He and Audrey sold their house and traveled in their RV for many years.

Perry’s family will welcome all for a visitation on Friday July 20, 2018 from 10:00am until the time of funeral service at 12:00pm (noon) at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
