Phillip D. Pilibosian, 91, of Bingham Farms, Michigan, passed away March 30, 2019. He was born in Detroit, MI on July 1, 1927. At the age of 17 yrs. old, he enlisted in the Armed Forces where he received the American Theatre Ribbon and World War Victory Medal II. After proudly serving his country, he attended Wayne State University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. On August 27, 1950, Philip married the love of his life, Margaret Baktamarian and together they had 5 adoring children. Phillip had a thriving career in Metallurgical Engineering and in 1959 cofounded Engineered Heat Treat. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners International, Lost City Golf Club, and Birmingham Country Club. He was an avid golfer, loved gin rummy, had a passion for his favorite Michigan teams (Red Wings, Tigers and the Lions), but will be mostly remembered for his love of family.
He was survived by his wife; Margaret, children; Karon (Dale Ranson) Sullenger, Keith (Jeanne), Duane (Mariann), Gregory (Leslie) and Ronald (Teresa) ; his 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and brother; John (Ann) Pilibosian . He was predeceased in death by his brother Gelie Der Pilibosian and sister-in-law Hazel.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 4-7PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 10AM at the Funeral Home.
