Randall Edward Marcial, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and messenger of Christ, passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on January 11, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Randy's life was a testament to his faith, resilience, and profound impact on those around him.
Randy's path was significantly shaped by his service as a Navy corpsman in Da Nang, Vietnam. Upon his return home, he experienced a profound and life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. From that moment forward, Randy never ceased sharing the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ. In his early years, he served alongside his dynamic partner, Frank Majewski, and in later years, he embraced every opportunity to share his faith one-on-one with anyone who would listen.
A true entrepreneur, Randy's vision blossomed in the late 1970s when, borrowing a rake and shovel from his grandfather, he founded Gethsemane Landscape Architectural Builders. Through his tireless work ethic and God's blessings, the company grew into the respected design/build firm it is today, to be carried on by his five sons.
Beyond his professional life, Randy was a vibrant presence in his community. For years, he was the enthusiastic voice of EC basketball, known for his infectious energy, musical selections, and belief in the young athletes. His love for his couples group was deep and sincere, reflecting his commitment to fellowship and genuine connection.
Randy was a unique individual, fiercely devoted to his family and friends. He embraced life with zest, finding joy in the simple pleasures of the sun and sand, but above all, he loved Jesus. Even in his final days, while in a coma, many who entered his room recognized something special about him. Randy would attribute that to the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents,Edi and Shirley, and siblings Gary and Linda.
He leaves behind his cherished wife of nearly 50 years, June Marcial. He was a loving and devoted father to Adam (Julie), Nathan, Jonathan (Alicia), Jared, Bethany, and Benjamin. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren: Olivia, Luke, Abram, Lilly, Landon, Evelyn, Thaddeus, and Elijah. Randy is also survived by his siblings Edward (Chris), Kelly (MaryLou) as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Randy always reminded us that this is not our final home. He is there now, and while he will be profoundly missed, his spirit and teachings will always be with us.
A visitation for Randall will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 West University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 715 N Lapeer Rd, Lake Orion, MI 48362.
