He was born in Binghamton, New York on November, 20, 1949. Richard graduated from Johnson City High School. He earned a Political Science degree from Syracuse University where he was also a member of the Psi Upsilon fraternity. He married his beloved wife Marjorie Bovan on December 14, 1991. Richard had a career in logistics for Kmart corporation in Troy, MI. He had a passion for the New York Yankees, cooking, and all Syracuse sports.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie; his children Erin and Andrew Bovan; brother Randall Bovan; and sister-in-law Carol Bovan.
